María understands the world through food and what happens around the table. Born in the United States and raised in Mexico, this perspective led her to Spain to professionalize her passion and study Gastronomy and Culinary Arts at the Basque Culinary Center where she specialized in business model innovation. During this period, she developed product design projects, worked hand-in-hand on experience design with Michelin-starred restaurants like Arrea! and Hermanos Torres, and gained practical experience in kitchens in San Sebastián and A Coruña. In Mexico, she has been part of Food Design projects like Cenas Amarillas and worked at the Innovation Hub of Tecnológico de Monterrey, implementing a social action project with national impact. María brings a fresh perspective; her combination of technical training, cultural sensitivity, and innovation-oriented approach positions her to push established codes and generate new opportunities in the food and beverage sector.
